James Holte

James' Story. 11-30-48---07-31-16

James Arthur Holte was born on November 30, 1948 in Mankato, Minnesota. He attended Bethany Lutheran College where he met his wife
Karen (Thomsen). In their 46 years of marriage they raised 3 children: Rebecca, Zachary, and Anna, welcomed 2 through
marriage and loved on 5 grandchildren. He worked for many years at Carlson Craft as a printer. Jim recently retired and was enjoying spending time with his family, gardening, woodworking, boating, and working part time at Gander Mountain. He was an active member at Peace Lutheran Church of North Mankato. We are grateful that his last week was spent loving on his newest granddaughter and enjoying time with her family in Ecuador. He died peacefully on Sunday, July 31, 2016.
1Thes. 4:13-14 - But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in sleep in Jesus.
Memorial service will be at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church on Thursday, August 11th at 12 noon.
