Band Weekend in Lincoln October 10 2015

Took a road trip with my girlies (Cari, Kj and Lydia) to visit Rich's fam in Lincoln, and watch a marching band competition.  (since Madison's band is in the "rebuilding" phase, it is not quite as exciting as I remember back in the day when Cari, Kevin and Abby partcipated!)
took the loooonnnng way down; the girls voted to drive over the river at Yankton.  Found out coming back on the interstate trimmed a few hours off the drive.
We enjoyed a beautiful autumn weekend; 80 degrees, warm and sunny.  When we arrived we went through downtown Lincoln and found it was a Cornhusker day; they played the Wisconsin Badgers.  The stadium is impressive; also the droves of fans all over.  A sea of red with traffic cops at every corner and in between directing the masses.  Too bad that the Badgers were victorious, it was a downer for the Big Red fans of Nebraska.

Watching the Competition; Lincoln East up next!

It wasn't Halloween but the girls love dressing up...and scaring the old folks!
Rich has one chicken left:

On Sunday they fed us an awesome breakfast, and we were on our way home!
