Home now from the biopsy. They took 5 samples from 2 areas. She wanted to make sure she sent in enough. :) I'm tired, and Kjersten looks drowsy, but had her resting on the couch and she just couldn't sit still or stay laying there. She's sitting at the table coloring now. Again they had to do 2 pokes for the IV! This time both in one arm though. Our coughing subsided while we were in the hospital, but I aggravated my throat again with my lunch, so I'm hacking again. We were praying about that, so, "Yeah God!" I was also able to stay in the room while the procedure was being done.
Mnason had fun at a friend's house with a puppy and a good long nap. Lydia went to our regular Bible study with our friends.

We have another consultation appointment on Thursday morning. It is with an pediatric orthopedic surgeon. I didn't get much more information but this: There is a hemangioma (not sure if it is all or part of the bump/problem). A hemangioma is an extra blood vessel supply. That is all I know. So, now we're ready to wait for a while longer! aj
Kj had an appointment this morning with a pediatric orthopedic surgeon. She will in the near future have a biopsy with sedation, but for now the dr. believes that it is a hemangioma (extra set of blood vessels). He explained that they are usually benign and if removed sometimes return and often disappears on its own. So, it will stay where it is as long as it is not hurting her, not impeding movement, and is benign. He said that it was erroneously thought to be part of the bone/joint... So, we'll wait for the call about the next appointment.

I was getting a little choked up (worrying) while making supper tonight. We finally sat down and Kjersten says, "I'm thinking of a hymn. On Christ the solid rock I stand." (me: choking up a bit...) She sang/said that verse, then she said, "That reminds me of a Sing'nSprout song, 'I lift my eyes up, to the mountains, where does my help come from, my help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth...'" Ahh! What a wonderful reminder to trust in the LORD!! Besides, He alone knows the outcome and I know nothing! aj

Well, we waited all day on Friday for news and came home today to find messages on our home phone. I had given the nurse our cell phone number on Tuesday, so... Anyways... from the short answering machine message... "The mass involves the knee and joint of the knee." We have been referred to a pediatric orthopedic surgeon and he thinks she will need a biopsy of it before anything further is done. So, we will have another appointment this week.aj
