June 25. Kevin is 35!

Spent a few days camping with the kiddos.  What a marvelous time we had!
Started Sunday afternoon with a potluck for Little folk.  There were 40+ relatives at Oakwood State park Picnic Shelter #1, gathered to eat, visit, play games....

November 12 2016 Cari moves to FARGO

we moved Cari to Fargo this weekend!
Cari came here, then she and Terry drove to MPLS.  Picked up UHaul Sunday and hired movers to load Sunday.  Meanwhile, I stayed home and went to church to be the piano player, then drove to Fargo (while watching the Super Moon rise in the east!).  Met them at Cari's new home, parked the UHaul in the liquor store parking lot (a big liquor store just a block from the apartment). Happy Harry's Bottle Shop is our new landmark to find Cari.  And Walmart.
She hired some other guys to unload Monday morning and then we unpacked, headed home with the moon coming up, even prettier than the night before.

This is a picture of the next weekend!  So glad we made "the move" before the snowstorm!

Labor Day weekend 2016

Here I am with dad at Terry and Carina's home.  Kind of quiet here, as there is no one else around,  'cept the big old red dog who likes to slobber all over people.  

What did we do?

1.  Helped Kathy can some beans.... Unbelievable the produce around here; gazillions of tomatoes, canned and fresh, in jars, boxes, and on the vine.  Beans.  Cucumbers.  Grapes. Eggplant. Carrots, Pumpkins, squash, celery, cabbage... I missed a few.

2. Took a ride with pops, by the places "I used to know who lived there".  Old neighbors have long gone from the neighborhood, replaced by the younger generations of big farmers.

3.  Tried a short walk outside but Dad wasn't too game for that.

4,  Gordon stopped by, and Abby, Julia and ET.  Grandpa got a chance to hold ET

On August 12 Cari brought Elaina and Julia here for overnighter with GG.  Saturday (August 13) we went to Carol and Larry's reception (married May 1).  

Liz, Terry and I made the mints for the reception the weekend before.

Received a call from Anthony:  can you keep the girls one more night?  Why? I asked.  Well we are in the hospital waiting...this little man showed up at 8:54pm.  We got to take the girls up to meet their brother on Sunday.

Ethan Thomas Brown. Born 8-13-16 at 8:54pm. 7lbs 10oz, 19 3/4". All are happy and healthy!
