A Good Friday 050815

Finally, a good day at work! one guy was gone for the weekend, the school kid was sick.

Working with a dear friend who is on Hospice and is having a good day with her lovely family.

Worked with Dot and went to coffee! together!

That is just the beginning of a day truly blessed by God. And answered prayers:

Cari called and had a serious offer on her house that she has been trying to sell since she left for Africa!

Abby called and said Anthony has a job!

God is so good!  In His time....sure is hard waiting...

The President Barrack Obama arrived at Watertown for LATV graduation.  Anthony and Abby saw Airforce One land at the airport across the road from their home. 

Had a wonderful evening celebrating with friends from the past; we celebrated Mary Brown, Sally Bates and Carol Stone as they are now 70!!  Unbelievable.

Went to the Hillside and got the back room and just had fun eating and gabbing and enjoying each other.

Bad Auto day April 23 2015

Took Mom to pacer check.  She locked my car doors (I think!) and since I left the keys on the seat for anyone who might want to move it, it cost me $40 bucks to unlock the car.

If that wasn't enough I blew a tire on the way home to Madison that evening; 2 miles south of Kones Korner.  David came and changed the tire because I had no idea how to go about doing that.  So I sent him $40 gift certificate for rescuing me.

If that wasn't enough, the guy at F&M said ALL the tires needed to be replaced so they matched! "It's AWD!"

So that bill was $574.34.  Oh, I forgot to mention that I had to fill dad's car with gas as it was below empty when I took Mom for her pacer check!  That was another $41.23.

Enough! (total spent $695.57).  Should have stayed home!

TO NANCY HOLT: WELCOME TO THE 6th DECADE, OLD FRIEND!!!

 

Nancy, you have always been such a special friend to me and my family!  Congratulations on hitting the big 60!!  It’s not so bad…

We’ve had many great times together, and your gift of Hospitality always amazes me! You are so fun to be with and you are so creative.  I always appreciate your piano talent, and how you helped Kevin and Cari get started with piano and a life long love for music. (Can’t find that picture!)

You and Tom were second parents to Kevin and the gang.  Thank you for that.  He loved spending time with Ryan and your family through the years.  Hope that Kevin gets to travel to Ryan’s wedding this summer!  (How long have we prayed for that event to occur????)

I was amazed when you showed up for Cari’s ordination in St Cloud a few years back.  Always supporting your friends!

Abby was so excited to be in Heather’s wedding!  I remember making a cute little pink dress that is still hanging in the closet.

 

I admire your dedication to Jesus Christ in all you do.  You are a wonderful ambassador of Christ and His love for everyone.

One special memory was our trip to Vermillion to watch Chad’s girls basketball team play.  Remember the “store” that Cindy had in the basement from the old guy who hoarded all that stuff?  That was a fun time….perhaps we should plan a trip to Colorado to visit them?

And the Spiritual Gifts class at Inspiration Hills….?Bruce Bugsby?

And so many other memories like camping, Heart to Heart, Super Bowl Parties, Worship Team…..

So, dear friend, I hope that you enjoy all the memories from all your friends and that you continue to be blessed by all that God has to offer you!
