June 24 2015. Fun with Mary Hunter

Mary invited us to her lovely home for a reunion of sorts; since we never see her much after her "retirement" it was great to get together for a few laughs!
we celebrated Lynn's birthday with Tiaras and selfies.  And delicious carrot cake!

June 2015 Dad comes for a visit

Since T&C needed a vacation, Dad came here to visit for a few days.  Initially it was to be Friday, then changed to Saturday... Gordon called and asked where the keys to the house were as he picked Dad up and wanted to stay at Dad's house.  He bought groceries, changed the sheets, and plugged the fridge back in.  Saturday was a great day, and Gordon thought maybe getting Dad back there to his own home would be the answer to Dad's forgetfulness.
But Sunday was a different day.  "He didn't know where he was and it took 4 hours to settle him down."  Think big brother thought that he could leave Dad alone and all would be well, then found out that wasn't  such a good idea.
So we met half way at Arlington and Dad came home with me.  The kids were there and planned to stay overnight but Mnason wasn't feeling good and neither was Kj so they took off.
Monday I trimmed Dad's toenails and took him for a haircut.  The barber shop was a dive but the barber did a half way decent job and only charged $10.  We drove out to Lake Herman.  Watched all of the Twin's game and dad went to bed at 10pm.  With some naps scattered through the day.

Tuesday he slept til 0830 then got up; I asked if he wanted to shower and change clothes: "No"  Do you want to eat breakfast? "No."  Do you want to go back to bed:  "Yes"; then slept til 1230 and after eating lunch thanked me for serving him a good breakfast.
Then he was ready to go home.
Time marches on.  A bittersweet time with Dad. Waiting for him to be awake and a few good games of Rummy Cube (he won most of the time!)

Selfie with Dad.
Wednesday Dad was up at 0300, "just wanted a coke, is that OK?"  and he chose Diet Coke; that was probably a new taste for him!

Cari; Dot wants you to write down what you have done since graduation from MHS.  (Not how much it cost!) Haha you can add that if you want.
They need to introduce you for Baccalaureate.  I'm impressed.

March 2010 KJ has a sister

Hello friends and family~

How are you all doing?  Just wanted to share our news.

Kevin and I just brought our new baby girl back from the hospital.  Lydia was born March 6, 2010 at 3.28 pm.

Lydia Suzanne Marie
5lbs 11oz, 18in

She's even more of a peanut than Kjersten was!  We are all home and well.  That's all for now.

Take care,
aj

March 10
Hello all~

I just thought I would send you a little update.  Lydia had her first appointment today and they rechecked her biliruben (for jaundice), and it was high!  Each day since leaving the hospital it has gotten higher despite the "bili" blanket, and such.  So, this afternoon she was admitted to the Sanford NICU.  They say it will be 3 days to a week to get it down and staying down...then home with the blanket again.

She is all hooked up to monitors and getting fluids.  We can't even take her off to feed her for not sure how long.  So, we are trying to hold her hands, head, and feet as much as possible...don't want to block out the lights more than that!

Please pray for us, it has been a roller coaster week.  I know she will get better but it is hard not to be able to hold her and snuggle up!!

Take care, aj

March 15
This morning the doctor came into Lydia's room and asked us if we would like to go home. YES!! So after 2 hours of paperwork and exiting information, Kevin and I took Lydia home to see her big sister. We didn't call ahead so it was a fun surprise for Grandma and Kjersten.  Thank you for all your prayers!  We are thrilled to be together as a family again.

July 2009 Women's Wedding weekend

Ok...I think we decided to go to Mankato on the way to St. Cloud, but if Cari is getting off at 5, maybe we should just head to her and all the fun in St. Cloud.  (unless you have the invite wording ready...form online...my dad would meet us and you can bring it in)  If we stop through Mankato on the way home, my mom would come back with us.  Sorry, sorry, to again think of new things!!  You can decide on Friday when we leave SF.  Ok, I will try not to change any more options for plans!  aj

As a mom of a 1 year old that likes to move...shorter might be better, but it is only 2 hours to St. Cloud from Mankato...so...good break??  And there are other entertainers in the van then just me!  Kevin said he didn't need the car, so I was just going to come Madison on Thursday...  You Madison-ites decide and let me know.  Abby has a list of "goals", also.

On are available for 30 days

so, Cari says that she has a meeting until 6 pm on Friday.  We can leave anytime after 1000 on Friday, since nobody volunteered to take my
place at cardiac rehab.  I think that Abby is coming to Sioux Falls Thursday sometime to meet her friends, so maybe that would be an option
Or we can swing by there on Friday, drive to St Cloud via Mankato!  What do you think of that idea?  Whatever you want to do.
Here are pictures of the "wedding shopper."  (Cari says do not come without her!)
What kind of project shall we have the guys tackle while we are gone????

August 2008

Our picks of the weekend.  We went to visit Crista's parent's lake cabin on Lake Cochrane.  It was a great time and Kjersten really liked the outdoors.  She fell asleep almost right away in "her boat".  It wasn't even a nap time!  Love you all!  See some of you real soon!  aj

I don't think I sent you all any pictures this week...so here are a couple...

~Kevin and Kjersten playing
~Kjersten at naptime--she found her thumb, but now I can put her down without her being completely asleep and she just sucks a few times and falls asleep.  Pretty good deal for me I guess...still not sure about thumb sucking, but so far she only does it when she is tired.

KJ I Love You

June 2008

Our most recent family picture.  This was the first softball game I took Kjersten to.  She is wearing a "take me out to the ball game" shirt.  ;)  And it matches.  Like the hat, Becky?!

See you soon, Cari.  I almost slipped a couple times yesterday..."when Cari is here..."...almost.

April 22 2008

We are working hard today...baby laundry, fussing, crock-pot cooking the pork chops from Abby and Cari, and hoping to find a chance to go on a short walk...when we are both ready!  Kevin is working at a new job today (Daktronics in Sioux Falls) and will have to spend a couple of hours this evening at Omnitech sending a project live...deploying...I think it is called...

Well, enjoy the pictures and her first month birthday!!
